Becoming the Silver Lining releases worldwide Sept. 22; public celebration and signing set for Sept. 26 at Sweet Paris Crêperie & Café in RogersROGERS, Ark. — Sept. 18, 2026 — A book written and independently published in Northwest Arkansas is making its way around the world, and its author is bringing the celebration home to Rogers.Rogers author Sandra Olivarez will release her debut book, Becoming the Silver Lining: How Adversity Shapes the Way We Live, Lead, and Rise, on Tuesday, Sept. 22. The community is invited to celebrate with Olivarez at a public
launch celebration and book signing from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Sweet Paris Crêperie & Café at Pinnacle Hills Promenade in Rogers.The book explores how adversity and life experiences shape the way we live, lead, relate to others and continue to grow. Drawing from Olivarez's own experiences while inviting readers to reflect on theirs, the book has already prompted a recurring response among early readers: they see pieces of their own lives in its pages.Ahead of its official release, Becoming the Silver Lining is already reaching far beyond Northwest Arkansas. Its digital edition is available worldwide, while paperback and hardcover listings have begun appearing through booksellers and distribution channels across North America, Europe, Asia and the Pacific.“For most of the process, this book existed on my laptop here in Rogers,” Olivarez said. “Seeing it begin to appear in places around the world has been surreal.
